Three-day internet radio broadcast

New York-based artist, Larry Edoff, and RadioDevil.com have created not only a magificent web page for OWB 2004, their efforts are paying off in a host of activities and events growing daily.

Tune in the weekend of March 19-21 as RadioDevil.com broadcasts live throughout OWB 2004, bringing listeners sounds from throughout the world, including songs by musicians involved in the festival, interviews, giveaways and merchandise—benefitting Keep A Child Alive, OWB's official beneficiary.

The broadcast begins at 6 p.m. March 19 and continues until 9 p.m. March 21. There will be lots of special programming, including video and re-broadcast of some of Larry Edoff's performances, and an auction is in the works. Chad Legrone of RadioDevil is working with 28 elementary schools, providing them with supplies so children can create artwork to be thank-you notes for people who donate!

How the broadcast benefits Keep a Child Alive "We believe that the way to make an international event successful is by starting one community at a time," adds LeGrone. RadioDevil.com is accepting donations for Keep A Child Alive through their "Make A Donation" banner and asking anyone with services or products to donate to contact them. Sponsors are sought to contribute services and merchandise. Listeners can make donations via the Radio Devil website. Radio Devil hopes to offer a wide selection of promotional items as thank-you gifts and incentives for those who wish to make larger donations. Participating artists and sponsors will be asked to place a link on their web sites to announce the event and enroll others to join in on the Radio Devil One World Beat fund raising broadcast. See http://www.radiodevil.com for details!

Artists contribute songs for downloads "On the Indie Music front we have received hundreds of emails from artists wanting to take part in this radio broadcast and fundraiser," says LeGrone. "More than 60 artists have dedicated a song to the event for 'pay per download' use. This allows people to download songs for $1, and that money will go to OWB/Keep a Child Alive. Download sales will not be just for the weekend but for an entire year, ongoing Keep a Child Alive support. Even better, when first-time users login, they receive a $5 credit toward purchasing downloads. If we can get just the artists to login to the system and download five songs free of charge, Keep a Child Alive gets $5 per person ($300 if just the artists download music and nothing else!). This could be a massive donation lasting an entire year."

RadioDevil representatives have been featured recently on two local television news shows, promoting OWB 2004 and RadioDevil's involvement. There will be a full-page newspaper article March 18, the day before the kick-off. "We have been fortunate so far with willingness to help, from free unlimited streaming of the event to free additional web services to accommodate traffic expected through the weekend," says LeGrone. "We have artists scheduled to be in the 'One World Beat - RadioDevil Chat Room' to answer questions. We have sent requests for other TV and radio personalities to login to the chat room for a guest appearance. Press releases have gone to TV personalities and internationally-known artists."

RadioDevil, in Asheville, North Carolina, is looking more the part of a guardian angel these days and an invaluable example of music and media making a difference. "In a world filled with uncertainties, it is important for everyone to promote positive messages and help people in need. The children of the world are the future and legacy of all. We must do our part to insure the future." —James Wilson, CEO and president, RadioDevil

Several One World Beat events, including concerts in England, Spain and Australia, will be broadcast live on the internet. With the help of Radio Devil, New York rock artist Larry Edoff is taking music's technical revolution a few steps further.
