3.2 million children with HIV/AIDS live in the developing world. Every minute, a child dies because of lack of access to life-extending antiretroviral (ARV) therapy. ARV therapy is the AIDS "cocktail", or “triple therapy” that you’ve probably heard about over the years. These amazing medicines have turned the tide on AIDS here in America, transforming it from a certain death sentence into a chronic, manageable disease. But in Africa, only 1% of the people can afford these drugs - the only drugs that will keep them alive.
