UK: Promoters join forces to raise money against child cruelty
By Sasha Regehr - October 20, 2006

Five bands from Lincoln’s indie music scene come together in an energetic night

Lincoln, UK – At the urging of Christopher’s Bar owner Neil Mackey and Chris from Simply Chris Lake, five of Lincoln’s top promoters and their bands have put aside competition and self-interest in a one-of-a-kind charity event on October 12. The £3 cover charge and all additional proceeds during the night went to the local branch of the National Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Children. The bands reflected the diversity of Lincoln’s indie music scene, from Lost Hearts, LiveRiot, the Wreckset, the Eccentrics, and Lipstick Entourage and their respective promoters Lincoln Bands Network, Simply Brave, Angamanagement, Escalator and Delirious. The enthusiasm from all sides was apparent as top-notch entertainment took the stage to help prevent and protect children from cruelty.
