Dilemma, England's Youngest Rock Band, Performs
FEBRUARY 25th in Essex
Dilemma,
England's youngest rock band, is back
for One World Beat 2005! Performing
on February 25th at The Hermit in Essex,
starting at 8pm, these Battle of the
Bands winners will amaze you as much
with their musicianship as they dazzle
your ears with original tunes and covers
of songs by Nirvana, Guns 'N' Roses,
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, The
Beatles, Queen, Santana, Eddie Van Halen,
and more. Filmed by Sky One for a documentary
called "The Secret British Stage",
and twice appearing on BBC-TV, Dilemma
has supported the likes of Midge Ure
and Gerry and The Pacemakers, and has
performed live in 50 concerts, including
a One World Beat gig for 2004. Ben,
on lead guitar, is 12, and has been
called "the new Van Halen";
Laurie, on bass, is 10; and Josh, lead
singer and drummer, is 11.
Getting a Friday night gig at The Hermit--a
prime music venue--is an honor, and
Dilemma has already played there on
many occasions, as well as to a crowd
of 8000 at the International Scout Jamboree
in 2004. See more about them at their
website (www.dilemma.uk.com),
and check out a show you've got to see
and hear to believe. Their press materials
describe them as "ordinary kids",
and while they may be in some ways,
in others they are extraordinary. We
are proud to have Dilemma both as a
participant and official supporter of
One World Beat, using their immense
talents to help children in need around
the world. Youth helping to make a difference
for other youth through the magic and
power of music...that teen spirit truly
rocks!
