USA – Rock Steady benefits Parkinson’s research
By Sasha Regehr - October 17, 2006

Lee Rocker among diverse lineup at fifth-annual concert for solid cause

SALT LAKE CITY, USA - Five years ago, Ghostowne singer Steven Wells began the annual Rock Steady concert to raise funds to combat and educate about Parkinson’s disease. On October 6 at the The Depot, rockabilly, country, rock and soul were intermixed as artists such as Mary Beth Maziarz, Stephen Ashbrook and Rich Wyman took the stage. Two highlights included Rock Steady veterans, the Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash and former Stray Cats bassist Lee Rocker, who sampled from his twenty-five year song repertoire. In a night filled with guitar licks and a steady stream of rock, a devastating disease got solid support.
