One World Beat on WorldSpace Satellite Media Network

In a special collaboration with WorldSpace, the pioneer satellite media network, the One World Beat festival 2003 was broadcast to listeners in Asia, Europe, Africa and North America. Intrigued by the innovative concept of the One World Beat festival, CEO Noah Samara offered his radio network as a platform for participating musicians and aid organizations to talk about their work and involvement in the festival.

A series of 12 interviews were conducted by Ted Kelly, host of XM radio show UPop, with participants in the US, England, Nigeria, Australia and Switzerland. Even though he's used to talking to big stars like Robbie Williams, Alanis Morrisette and Vanessa Carlton, Kelly took a lot of interest in the One World Beat festival and we are looking forward to working with him again in 2004.

True to the One World Beat spirit, this was an ideal opportunity to communicate the message that music can make a difference.
