Swansea, UK mini-festival

Saturday, March 20, at the Uplands in Swansea, UK, a mini-festival will be taking place at its three main venues, featuring bands such as Kardomah, Dim Cyril, Kingway Cowboy, Henan Drive, The Gallows and more.

At the Uplands Tavern, Dim Cyril and three other bands will be featured. At The Celtic Pride, four bands headlined by Kingsway Cowboy will perform, and at The Chattery there will be acoustic acts, headlined by a name band to be announced.

All events begin at 8 p.m., entry is by donation, and profits benefit One World Beat and Keep A Child Alive.

Tunetown, a project of the Swansea Songwriters Guild, is a community business based in Swansea, UK. It was created in 1998 by and for musicians and live-music fans with the goal of creating opportunities for music lovers; related activities feature music in the area. Tunetown hosts everything from large-scale live outdoor festivals to music workshops in local schools. Its aim is to create a Community Music Center with funding from the Arts Council of Wales, European Objective One funds, as well as friends and fans of music.
