Musicians United for Aid Organizations
One World Beat is not only about celebrating music of all
styles around the world. It has a social conscience. Each artist has the power
to inspire people and make a difference through his music and his performance.
By acting as a messenger of hope, musicians can donate their art to assist
the men and women who work on a daily basis to help children and adults in
need.
Since the beginning of the project, One World Beat has had great feedback
from local and international non-profit organizations. They have welcomed
the idea of a platform from upon which to communicate their activities and
causes to a new audience.
One World Beat has benefited organizations around the world like UnitedPlanet (USA), Children for Change (Canada), Source of Hope Foundation (Lithuania), Here for Life Suicide Prevention (Australia), Victims of Violence (Alaska, USA), Stir Network (Nigeria), Kids Helping Kids (USA) and many other local charities. Through the festival, organizations were able to raise money for children's education programs in Thailand, homeless children in South Africa and bushfire victims in Australia.
So many songs are about making the world a better place. One World Beat is an opportunity to actually do something about it.
