Keep A Child Alive is an organization formed to do exactly what it says—keep children alive. In the face of the immense and catastrophic HIV/AIDS emergency taking place throughout Africa and the developing world, Keep A Child Alive can no longer wait for solutions and plans that continually fail to materialize while the desperate and dying perish at a rate of 9000 a day. Keep A Child Alive is a donor-sponsored antiretroviral (ARV) therapy program for children and their families, financed by individuals in the West. We will treat one child, one mother, one sibling, and one father at a time, expanding our clinic sites and facilities as our donor numbers increase. We will work with the experts on the forefront of HIV/AIDS care and treatment, empowering doctors and bringing critical resources to clinics and facilities. We will harness the power of the media, of celebrity, and the ease and global reach of the internet to keep this issue before the public and offer individuals an extraordinary opportunity.
