www.wairarapamusic.co.nz.
MWI is a nonprofit formed in 2005 to help the
music industry in Wairarapa,
located on the North Island, close to the capital
of New Zealand, Wellington. Wairarapa Music Month
will feature a musicians' showcase, an acoustic
music and singer-songwriter nights, awards, and
a drum festival.
MacLean, who is a performer, pianist, song-writer,
and composer, has recently had two of his compositions--"Fly"
and "Father's Voice"--chosen for licensing
in Hollywood, which means that his original music
will be available for use by the American TV and
film industry. Check out the the profile
of this musician. He has had international
airplay of his song, "Walk Away", achieved
a win in the Pacific Songwriter's Competition,
and been heard on airwaves from Norway to China.
This is one event where you'll be sure to walk
away happy, so hope your feet will fly on over
and support local talent "going global"!
