Concerts4Charity Rocks Again to the One
World Beat!
Concerts4Charity,
a US-based organization which raises funds and
awareness for worthy causes--while also teaching
young people how to develop and implement creative
projects for charity--will reprise its invaluable
OWB 2004 and 2005 events with new concerts for
2006!
On May 5th at 9pm, Know Lyfe, Through The Mist,
Jonny Rumble, Johnny No Stars, and Shackle Jack
will play the Club Soda on Michigan Ave. in Kalamazoo,
Michigan. For those 17-20, there will be an $8
Donation, and for people 21 and over a $6 donation.
Doors open at 8:30 pm. Proceeds will benefit Concerts4Charity
youth programs. This concert is sponsored by Pitchfork
Entertainment and Rock the Madhouse, serving Michigan's
lively music scene.
Rock, metal, punk, and indie are all on the menu,
which promises a great time for all! Go to www.myspace.com
to see more on each band (those performing in
MI and MA), including recent releases ("Veins
and Vines", the Know Lyfe EP; Shackle Jack's
"Jack in Irons" CD; Jonny Rumble's "Good
for the Market"; and Johnny No Stars album,
"Willful Suspension of Disbelief").
On
Saturday, May 6th, at Club Raw, 281 Main Street
(next to The Palladium) in Worcester, MA, C4C
and OWB will rock to the music of Change of System,
Samara, Raziel, and Valve Act. For those 21 and
older, there is an $8 Donation. Doors open at
8pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit OWB
and C4C programs. The bands play a range of music
from metal to hardcore to alternative, each one
raw, ready, and rarin' to go!
Come party it up rock 'n' roll style and show
your support for One World Beat and Concerts4Charity,
an organization which year after year exemplifies
what "music making a difference" is
all about. OWB is honored and proud to partner
with such talented, caring, and world-changing
youth and adult allies!
